To keep our students safe and our programming seamless, Design Dance is committed to providing rich, virtual learning opportunities built to blend directly into your health-conscious classrooms.

Just hit play and broadcast live or on-demand dance programming to your students whether they’re tuning in at school with their peers or at home in their living room.

Our live and on-demand classes eliminate exposure to outside visitors while doing away with costly sanitation needs or helicopter health precautions.

When you hit play on a Design Dance program, your students and classrooms gain access to:

  • Risk-free and fun arts education that aligns with ISBE’s Learning Standards in Fine Arts, Physical Education and Health, and Social/Emotional Learning.

  • Developmentally-appropriate curriculum design that follow’s ISBE’s Remote Learning Recommendations in content length, socially-distanced dance practices, and virtual delivery.

  • Simplistic lessons that only require a streaming device, comfortable clothes/shoes for movement, and a safe space for dancing. All activities will be adaptable to meet accessibility needs in classrooms and living rooms.

  • Programming that contributes to the IL State Superintendent’s mandate that students receive 5 clock hours of instruction or school-work each day in a Remote Blended Learning Landscape.

Live-Streamed Virtual Classes

Partner with Design Dance to take advantage of our 12+ weekly Virtual Dance Studio classes OR build a customized, live-streamed dance program that can be scheduled into your daytime learning plan or after school program. These live-streamed classes can be broadcasted directly into your families’ homes or even your classroom spaces, whether you’re learning in-person, through a blended model or remotely.

Our professional dance educators will lead your students in either an interactive and engaging virtual lesson that unlocks vital social-emotional learning through the magic of movement.

OPTION 1 - Our Virtual Dance Studio gives your family access to 12+ weekly dance programs in Hip Hop, Ballet, Creative Movement, Storytime Dance and more! For a simple fee, give your entire school community access to this platform OR share these programs with your families to sign-up for on their own.

OPTION 2 - Traditional Dance Programming that includes live daytime and after-school classes in the following styles: Student-Generated Open Style Dance, Hip Hop, Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap, Creative Movement, Musical Theatre, Storytime Dance + more!

STEP 1: Schedule a call with our team to learn more about our programming and share your school's arts and SEL needs.

STEP 2: We’ll work directly with your school administration and classroom teachers to build an enrichment program that helps your school fulfill its learning goals.

STEP 3: Once the program is built, we’ll work to schedule it to blend seamlessly into your classrooms' learning plans.

STEP 4: Before our first day, we’ll test the streaming tech with your classroom teachers to ensure a smooth first lesson.

STEP 5: We’ll kick off our first day of programming and check-in regularly with your team and classroom teachers to receive feedback and, if needed, collaborate to pivot our program to meet your students’ needs.

On-Demand Virtual Content

Partner with Design Dance to bring on-demand dance and SEL content to your classrooms that can be implemented directly into your school day schedule, and also be accessed by students tuning in at home.

Both our pre-recorded dance residencies and SEL activities will take your students on an arts adventure through scaffolded video lessons and activities that can be accessed at the click of a button!

STEP 3: All on demand programming begins Monday, September 28th. You can access your on-demand residency and/or SEL content through a private and secure portal.

STEP 4: We’ll test the portal's functionality with your classroom teachers to ensure a smooth content kick-off.

STEP 5: Over the course of the program timeline and partnership, we'll check-in regularly with your team and classroom teachers to receive feedback and, if needed, collaborate to pivot our content to meet your students’ needs.
