WINTER CLASS OFFERINGS
Storytime: (PreK-1st) 3:15-4:15pm
Storytime Dance is the perfect class for kiddos who love to discover, read and dance! In this class, students will dance their way through popular children’s stories, using creativity, choreography, and character building skills. Over the course of the session, students will learn fundamental dance basics while developing vital skills in comprehension, memorization, and performance. Dancers will also gain social-emotional skills as they engage in creative movement games; strengthen individual gross-motor skills; enhance memory function through group reading and technical practice; self manage in improvisational activities; and activate free choice, self-expression and creative confidence.
No special dress is required in this program, however students are encouraged to wear gym shoes and clothes they are comfortable moving in. Family and friends will be invited to celebrate their dancer's hard work in a final presentation at the end of the session.
Hip Hop: (PreK-1st) 3:15-4:15pm
Hip Hop is a great introduction for new and returning students who love to dance! This program follows the structure of a Hip Hop dance class and introduces young dancers to the basics of Hip Hop and Pop Music style while growing independence, self-expression and community. Over the course of the session, students will engage in social-emotional learning as they play in contemporary movement games; strengthen individual gross-motor skills; enhance memory function through group technical practice; self manage in improvisational activities; and activate free choice, self-expression and creative confidence.

Musical Theatre: (1st - 3rd) 4:15-5:15pm
Musical Theatre is great for energetic students with a growing interest in theatre, drama and dance! In this class, students will explore popular, classic and contemporary musicals while learning the basics of dance and theatrical performance technique. Not only will students develop an appreciation for musicality, but they will also practice coordination, rhythm, flexibility, spacial awareness and collaboration. Students will also gain vital social-emotional skills as they engage in theatre-related team building exercises, self-expression prompts, choice-based improvisational activities, and creative confidence.
